Chapter Five

With the madness with the mystical realm causing many to panic, the mortals within their own realm were unaware of the impending madness that was heading their way in a matter of months.  That madness was something that the royal family wasn’t ready for, however dealing with the fears of the young heirs was what was on the minds of both the king and queen.  And speaking of the queen, Sapphire was holding her tiny baby while her two eldest slept soundly upon her bed.  After the events that plagued her children earlier, Sapphire refused to leave them unattended.  Sapphire herself knew that soon she would need to wake her sleeping treasures for dinner, but after seeing their tired faces and listening to their gentle breathing, the merhog queen was torn with the idea of waking them.  A rap upon the door brought the queen out of her thoughts and a gentle smile appeared as Sapphire saw Kaze enter the room.

“Kaze”

“Hey angelfish, sorry that took so long,” Kaze made his way across the room in record time and embraced his wife, being mindful of the sleeping Silver.

“No, it’s alright my love.  I’m just relieved that your back.  So Kaze what happened?” Sapphire saw Kaze remove his cape and place it upon a nearby chair then sit upon the bed with his wife and children.

“Well to be honest, I don’t know where to begin.  After everything that has happened today, I have no idea where to start with telling you what happened in the throne room,” Kaze felt movement behind him and turned to see his sons moving in their sleep.  Dried tear stains painted their cheeks and small whimpers escaped both the young princes as they slept.  Kaze gently rubbed their backs to comfort them as they slept and was rewarded when their whimpers ceased.

“Kaze after literally being blocked from our children earlier by a nightmare made flesh, how hard could explaining what happened in the throne room be compared to that?” Sapphire knew her husband meant well and was stressed but Sapphire was beyond frazzled.  She needed to know what had happened earlier that caused the castle to shake as it did.  The merhog was grateful that her sons were such sleepers and didn’t awaken during the shaking.  But their fatigue worried the queen.

“You’re referring to the shaking from earlier, Sapphire?  Well to be honest angelfish, I’m still stunned by our quests and their power.  The magic our guest wielded was on a level far beyond our own.  But if telling you everything that transpired within the throne room will help put your mind at ease, then my queen I’ll tell you.  But I promise you angelfish, you won’t believe a word once you hear it.” Kaze then went about telling Sapphire what had transpired in the throne room, from Holly’s power, to the other mystics and Trails appearance.  Kaze went into detail about what Trails had discovered months ago before he was injured.  Kaze also informed Sapphire how Ben and Alexei both arrived in the library to aid the children.  This went on for a good thirty minutes until Kaze had come to the end of his explanation and began to explain about the plan to stall the decay.

“…and so, to stall the decay and keep it from spreading further within the kingdom, we will plant several hundred rose bushes where the decay has yet to spread.  This will by us some time until we can find another solution to forever rid us of this curse.” Kaze heard Sapphire sigh as she shifted Silver to her lap before gazing into her husband’s eyes.

“And by that you mean to find the witch responsible and make her undo her magic.”

“Unfortunately, Sapphire yes.  Holly explained to everyone that the only true way to undo that witch’s magic and restore our home, the witch who cast the spell must undo the spell herself.  And I’m afraid you’re not going to like what I’m about to tell you love,” Kaze saw fear paint itself upon Sapphire’s face as she reached for Kaze’s hand and held it as if her life depended on him.  And at that moment, it did.

Meanwhile Darren and Trails were on their way back to their quarters with the help of Ben.  As promised, after telling his uncle about his research Trails was going back to bed to continue his rest.  And rest Trails would do, under Athena’s watch that is.  Once Trails was in his room and back in bed, Athena made sure Trails ate the meal that Carrie brought for both him and his father.  Once finished, Trails found he was suddenly sleepy once again.  Rather than try to stay up to talk to his father like he wished, Trails figured getting some more sleep sounded wonderful.  And the fact that his ever-wonderful grandmother was sitting by his side singing softly, aided in Trails drifting into a peaceful slumber.  Once Trails was sound asleep, Athena began to move from Trails’ bed and stand next to her sons. But stopped for a moment longer to gaze at Trails, worry etched upon her features.

“Mother I assure you that Trails will stay in bed as agree upon.  I don’t think the guards at the door will be necessary.” Darren watched his mother give Trails a kiss on his forehead as the young boy slept peacefully.  It seemed that having a full stomach combined with fatigue was the perfect way to get Trails to sleep.  It seems that the days ordeal had taken its toll on the young inventor and after being told of the nightmare that happened earlier, all Trails wished to do was rest his mind.  The fact that Trails was once again sleeping, put Athena’s mind at ease, knowing that the young boy was going to be alright.  But Athena was puzzled by what Trails had being brought to the castle in the morning but decided to voice that concern when morning came.  However, when Darren voiced his concern about the guards at the door, Athena knew she needed to talk with all her sons.  Ben had left to find Kaze and to check on the boys. Leaving both Darren and Athena alone, sans the guard outside the door.

“I know, but after everything that has transpired today Darren, let me have some sense of knowing that one of my grandchildren will be under the watch of the palace guards tonight.  I promise this won’t become a habit, but until this threat has passed,” Athena felt Darren embrace her as to bring some comfort to the frazzled woman.

“Mother, I know you’re worried.  I’m worried too, so much so in fact I’m torn between taking Trails someplace where that blasted witch wouldn’t find him.  I’m sure Kaze feels the same way with the boys.  But we can’t stop what’s about to happen mother nor can avoid it.  We’ve been given a time limit mother, and if we don’t prepare now then in the coming months we will lose everything.  And I for one will not watch my son be carried off by some mad woman.” Darren then motioned for the guards to remain outside the room while Darren lead his mother down the hall to Trails’ workshop.

“Darren, I know our time is limited but what in the world do you wish to show me in Trails’ workshop?  Trails already informed me that the green color was completely gone.  So, what is so important that you must show me?  I need to see if Kaze has spoken…to…Sapphire…,” the former queen was stunned by what was before her in Trails lab, which she was sure the boy had no knowledge of since his injury.  Within the boy’s lab, there was the emblem of a body upon the wall and what appeared to be claw marks upon the walls as well.  The stone floor looked as though something had melted it, but the stench indicated that what ever it was, it was acidic.  Athena just stared at what was before her, not sure what had transpired here.

“Darren, what in the world,”

“Mother while Trails was recovering in the first month after his injury I began to go through Trails’ workshop and just look at all the things he’s done.  I never really sat down and thought about how brilliant Trails’ was.  When I wasn’t by his side or in the library, I was here.  And while I was here I found this contraption,” Darren pointed to a machine that was attached to a large mirror.  Giant cylinders were attached to it which looked like it held something inside.  Dials with numbers, buttons were all upon this machine that laid before the former queen and her son.

“Yes, but Darren what is that thing and what happened in here?”

“Mother, during my time in this room I discovered Trails’ latest invention.  I’m sure he intended this to be a surprise for us as well but stopped working on it.  I found blueprints detailing this thing and its purpose.  However, Trails never finished it and before I could question Trails reasons for stopping, I found the reason why Trails put this thing on hold, well the other reason he put this on hold that is.” Darren moved closer to the machine slowly but motioned for his mother to stay where she stood, not trusting what was before them.

“While Trails did put his inventing on hold to help the kingdom, I found another reason as to why he stopped.  After the whole turning himself green incident, Trails began to tamper with plans for a makeshift teleporter.  If I had to take a guess, it was probably to bounce back from that fail experiment.  While the idea was sound, there were some flaws, flaws that would’ve proven life threatening had Trails continued.  Before he began researching to stall the decay, Trails must have pulled something in with this thing.  The first attempt must have been enough to scare him enough to hold off on this thing until he figured out what he did.  Trails must have opened a doorway to another place and brought something with it.  But as you know, he put this on hold to help us and I never really questioned his sudden interest in helping.  When I asked Trails why he was so eager to help, he simply told me that he needed some fresh air and to get out of his lab for a while.  At the time I just thought it was merely inventor’s block frustrating Trails, but I never got the chance to ask him once Rakar showed up.  During Trails’ recovery, I spent days down here just thinking until one day when I came down here I discovered something…just not of this world mother,” Darren moved to the machine and the sound of shuffling was heard but the former queen causing worry to etch upon her face.  Athena noticed as Darren grew closer, the shuffling grew in sound, but the sound of scrapping claws could be heard as well.  It was when Darren was about a foot from the machine did the sound of growling reach her ears along with the clicking of what sounded like chains come to her ears.

“Darren what is that soun-,” Athena was startled when a roar was heard before her and a massive black figure pounced upon Darren.

“DARREN!!!” Athena was ready to jump in front of her son to protect him regardless of what that creature was, when the sound of snapping reached her ears and a luminous glow filled the room pulling said creature back firmly into the wall next to what appeared to be runes etched on the wall.  Once in light Athena saw a creature that was neither hedgehog or any other creature she’d seen before.  If Athena was being honest with herself, she poor mad thing was almost demonic.  Fangs protruding from its mouth, eyes that resembled that of a reptile, horns upon its head, spikes trailed down the creature’s spine, claws upon its hands and feet, scales and fur abundant upon its body and the list went on and on.  Before Athena was in every sense a monster, and the frightening part was this creature was out for blood.  The only thing that helped ease Athena from her worries were the luminous chains restraining the creature, even if for a small moment.

“Mother put you worry behind you.  The ancient runes on the wall will ensure our safety.  This creature is the least of your worries thanks to that spell.”  Darren then moved closer to the furious foaming creature as it pulled at its bindings hoping to break them and shed his captors blood.  However, upon realizing that Darren was face to face with its persons, the creature stilled and just stared into eyes that made it shiver with fear that was unlike anything this brainless creature ever felt.

“Mother as I stated before, Trails’ invention had some flaws, and this is one of them.”

“Darren what do you mean?  What is this creature and where did it come from?”

“That’s the very same question that I was hoping you would answer for me as well Lord Darren.” The sound of a familiar voice caused both Darren and Athena to turn to the door to see Holy within the door, looking solemn and stern.

“Lady Holly, what?  I thought you left with the others back to the realm of mystics.  Why are you still here, not to sound rude though, my dear, but I thought you had went home.” Athena saw Holly walk towards Darren, eyes burning as she grew closer.

“Please forgive me my queen, but before I left, I had to speak with both your sons about this plan of theirs and how to reach me should something else happen.  However, upon returning to the castle I sensed the presence of a creature that shouldn’t be within this realm, and I was right,” Holly then knelt down to the creature’s level and sternly looked into the creature’s eyes before speaking to the creature.

“You know who and what I am, you know whose blood flows through my veins and you also know the crimes you have committed by being in the land of mortals due to the law of foxes.  A law that my great grandfather decreed upon majority of your kind arriving in domains under our family’s rule,” the manner Holly spoke in both surprised and shocked Darren and Athena.  The voice didn’t belong to the emotional girl that nearly took apart the castle moments ago with her energy, no this voice belonged to a person of either noble or royal status facing an enemy or intruder.  And judging by how stern Holly’s gaze had become and how much fear was the creature held within its eyes, Holly indeed was someone not to cross.  However, the creature’s true origins now caused Darren to grow concern.  Just what had his son invented this time.

“Holly just where is this creature from and what is with its odd behavior?”

“Lord Darren unfortunately this creature is one of many that resides within a special realm where no one, not even other mystics can reach save for the Grandmasters of each realm.  Majority of these creatures currently reside in the underworld under the rule of Lucifer.  The ones that aren’t under Lord Lucifer’s rule remain hidden in the shadows, however seldom few can be summoned either by satanic magic or by unusual means.  And by unusual, I mean whatever that contraption behind you is, Lord Darren.  And as for their behavior, well I don’t really have an answer for that.  The only one who could answer that is Lord Lucifer himself, and I doubt you wish to speak to the ruler of the dead,” Holly turned her gaze from the shaken creature to the machine behind Darren, looking puzzled as to how something like that could bring a creature like this into the realm of mortals.

“Yes and sorry to say this is the work of my son, though I don’t think he intended for it to be a door into another realm.  Based on the designs, Trails was hoping to make a makeshift teleporter for the castle.” Darren stood and moved next to Athena who was stunned silent since eyeing the strange creature in the room.

“Well the boy’s heart was in the right place; however your son has no idea as to what he just created,”

“Neither does Trails,”

“What-,”

“My son doesn’t know about this, around the time this creature came about Trails was in the preliminary stages of his recovery and to be honest after the near panic attack he had earlier I don’t wish to show him this.  My son doesn’t need this burden upon his shoulders.  When I showed this to Kaze, he promised never to breath a word to Trails until he was fully recovered, and this thing was moved to the dungeons.  Once there, this creature was to be under constant watch until this machine was working to send it back to where it belonged.  Once that was done and I had a long talk with Trails, this machine was going to be destroyed.  However, given the nature of things and the time limit we’ve been given about the situation,” Darren noticed the dismal look appear on Holly’s face knowing that she knew where he was going with his assumptions.

“You mean that you wish for your son to complete this thing and send these creatures back to where they belong before things get out of hand?  Well seeing as this day can’t get any worse than it already has, perhaps you’re right.  Besides judging by the state this room is in, I doubt only one of those creatures got through.  Chances are more than one got in and the others got out when they had the chance.  Which means now I need to inform not just Lord Lucifer, but my great grandfather of the mess this realm is in now.” Holly turned back to the creature and burned her gaze into the pitiful thing causing more shiver to claw upon its skin.

“Little advice for you Lord Darren, if you plan to keep this thing in the castle I suggest you move it to dungeons and keep it under lock and key.  Also, whatever spell you have keeping it in place, don’t remove it and surround the castle with it.  Based upon the state of this room and the marks upon the wall and the holes in the floor, along with the stench of acid in the air, I as said before, more than one of these things got out.  Chances are the others are either roaming the land.  And after my burst of energy before, chances are they’re hiding.  Now I believe I’ve been gone from my home too long and my mother is probably worried sick right about now, I’m afraid I must take my leave.  But before I leave,” Holly then reached into her jacket and pulled out a small luminous orb that reminded both Athena and Darren of one of the many pearls Sapphire wears on her person.

“This orb is a mini crystal ball that will link you directly to either myself or my mother.  Should anything happen in the limited time span that we have use this orb.  Also should any of these creatures show themselves, don’t hesitate to call.  These creatures may appear to be brainless fools but they’re very deadly in a battle.” Holly handed the orb to Darren before stepping away from both Darren and Athena.  A smile played upon Holly’s lips before she began chanting a spell in an ancient language and began to glow.  Holly then bowed to both Darren and Athena before leaving in a flash of red familiar of her cherry red fur.  Once alone, Athena placed her hand upon her son’s shoulder and saw how tense her son felt.

“Darren sweetie, are you going to be okay?”

“Mother right now, I don’t think I’m ever going to be okay until all of this is over, and that witch is dealt with once and for all.  It’s probably the hunger talking right now, and I probably should eat something before long.  Besides I still need to talk to Kaze about contacting the Ice Empire.  Since this whole ordeal started I’ve felt that we weren’t the only ones dealing with problems.  Plus, I have a feeling that we might be hearing from Sapphire’s father soon,” Darren then escorted his mother out of Trails’ workshop and began to walk back to his chambers, relieved that Trails was still sound asleep.

“Darren,”

“Mother don’t worry I’ll be fine.  Right now, all I wish is to eat and get some sleep.  I promise once morning comes, we’ll talk more.  But don’t worry about that creature in Trails’ workshop, the runes will keep it there and from roaming the castle.  Also, Kaze has been wishing to talk to you about something, what I can’t say.  But for now, I believe he must be awaiting your arrival.  That and the boys should be up by now.” Darren then embraced his mother once more before turning to the kitchen.  After Darren had left, Athena then made her way to Kaze and Sapphire’s room.  She too was worried about what was going to happen with her family and after seeing that monster Athena wasn’t going to take any chances.

Meanwhile within the royal bedchambers, soft crying could be heard from within the grand room.  The soft cries belonged to none other than Sapphire for Kaze just told her news that she never hoped to hear.  Kaze for his part held his loving wife as her world literally fell apart.

“Angelfish, please understand if there was any other way…”

“Kaze you just told me we have a time limit until she returns, you’re telling me that I only have so long before that witch returns and comes for my children once again.  I ONLY HAVE SO LONG BEFORE MY CHILDREN ARE TAKEN FROM ME AND-,” Sapphire was shocked out of her outburst by Kaze who pulled her into the bathroom before her outburst had startled the children.  Once inside and the door was closed, Kaze embraced Sapphire and meshed his lips to hers with such passion Sapphire couldn’t think straight.  Kaze had then positioned Sapphire to the back of the door, hands entwined with hers pinned above her head and continued to kiss her senseless.  It appears that Sapphire wasn’t the only one affected by the news, Kaze was to the breaking point but rather than lose his mind, he decided to indulge in his wife.  Which worked out for both.

Once Kaze had let up upon Sapphire’s lips, the young king gazed at his wife with passion he didn’t think was possible to have.  The haggard breathing, lust filled eyes, rosy cheeks and ruffled clothes ignited a fire in Kaze that burned in his belly but Kaze had to talk to his wife first.  After that, then they could continue this dance.

“Angelfish, I know you’re upset, I’m upset too.  But don’t think for a minute that I’m about to let that loon take away the greatest gifts you’ve ever given me.  Love, I will not let our children be taken from us.  If I must take that monster back to hell myself I will do so if it meant my sons being safe.  Sapphire don’t think for a second that I’m about to hand my sons over to that witch with putting up a fight.  I’ll die first before letting their future be taken away from them.” Kaze then kissed Sapphire once again, leaving the poor merhog breathless.

“Kaze…”

“Sapphire I swear to you here and now, I’ll protect our family no matter what the cost.” Kaze was about to slide his wife to the floor to show her how much his words meant until…

“Mama, Papa?  Where are you?” Both Kaze and Sapphire snapped out of the lustful haze at the sound of their sons finally waking up.  While Sapphire was happy her sons were awake, she was slightly disappointed that Kaze couldn’t finish what he started.  However, the smirk upon her husband’s face told her otherwise.

“Don’t worry angelfish, once the boys are sleeping soundly in their beds, you and I are going to finish what we started,” Kaze’s smirk grew as he saw his wife turn a nice shade of pink before brushing herself off and made herself look presentable for her sons.  Kaze followed suit and straightened his clothes before opening the door and saw that all three of his sons were wide awake looking for them.

“Well glad to see you three finally awake.  Your mother and I were beginning to think you boys would sleep through the night.  Besides neither of you has had dinner yet.” Kaze sat upon the bed once again and smiled as he saw his sons rub the sleep out of their eyes.
Sapphire joined her husband as well and was beaming with joy at the sound of Silver’s happy coos.  It seems the nightmare from before faded from the young babe’s mind as if nothing had happened at all.  Shadow and Sonic were another story.  The events from earlier would be hard to erase from their minds.  That nightmare would forever be etched within their minds for as long as they lived.

“We slept for that long?” Shadow then turned to the window and indeed the sun had long set over the horizon.

“But how’s that possible papa?  We weren’t that tired.” Sonic along with Shadow were confused, until their father voiced a question that he hoped the boys would answer truthfully.

“Boys, have you’ve been sleeping well at night?  With how long both of you slept, I’m beginning to think that both of you are having trouble sleeping or something.  Are you both having nightmares or is it something else?” Kaze was concerned for his sons and saw both look at one another until Shadow took a deep breath before telling his father what ailed them.

“Actually papa, Sonic and I haven’t been sleeping well for the past few nights.  We’ve been having strange dreams that turn into nightmares.  It wasn’t bad at first, after waking up both Sonic and I were usually able to go back to sleep, but…”

“But?  Boys what aren’t you telling me.” Kaze saw both his sons shuffle a bit before telling their father the rest.

“But then the nightmares got worse, it felt like if we went back to sleep what we saw in our dream would still be there.  When we woke up it felt as though we were drained but couldn’t figure out why.” Shadow and Sonic turned their gazes to the comforter upon the bed, as if afraid of their father’s reaction.

“Are you boys telling me that for the past few nights, you both have been afraid to go to sleep?!?” Kaze was shocked at what he’d just heard from his sons, but what he heard next shook him to the core.

“Actually papa, Shadow and I have been having these dreams for the past month.  Right around the time we both fell out of the tree.  But its more than that, at night I swear to you I keep seeing something flying outside the castle in a red mist with eyes that resembled that of a dragon flying about our window each night.  I told Shadow this and he and I have seen this thing more than once but as soon as the sun rises they disappear.  Papa we’re not making this up, you have to believe us!” Sonic and Shadow were shocked when their father embraced both his sons.  Confusion marred both their faces and they stared at their mother who sat beside their father holding Silver who was fascinated by the taste of his fingers.

“My wonderful sons don’t worry.  I do believe you, every word of your story.  After what happened earlier today I’m not taking any chances.  Don’t worry boys, nothings going to happen to either of you and I’ll make sure that you both sleep peacefully tonight.”

“You promise papa?” the fear laced within his son’s voice made Kaze boil with fury inside.  Kaze was certain that when he found the cause of his boys’ nightmares he was going to put an end to it once and for all.

“Boys I promise you, nothing will harm you as long as I draw breath.  Now how about dinner, I’m sure both of you are hungry plus its around dinner time anyway.” Kaze then moved to get off the bed followed by Sapphire.  Joy filled Kaze’s heart when he saw both his eldest sons jump off the bed and make for the door.  Apparently, the thought of food was a wonderous idea.

As the family made their way down to the dining room, they were met by both Ben and Athena who was thrilled to see Shadow, Sonic and Silver wide awake.  As the family met Kaze began to wonder where Darren was until Athena told him of what happened but wanted to leave certain things out until the boys were fed and sound asleep.

About an hour later, once all three boys were sound asleep Athena decided to talk to Kaze about what had happened.  To her surprise Kaze sounded as if he knew what his mother wished to speak to him about.

“So, Darren finally showed you what was in Trails’ workshop, huh?”

“Yes, and Kaze first thing in the morning that thing gets moved to the dungeons surrounded by runes and a spell to null any sound that thing could make.  I don’t wish for the boys to find that thing, ever.”  Athena rubbed the bridge of her nose to ease the growing headache she was getting.

“Trust me mother, letting my sons near that thing is the furthest from my mind.  When Darren showed me that thing, I couldn’t make heads or tails of it.” Kaze noticed the stress written upon his mother’s face and began to wonder if there was anything else he could do.  That is until Kaze remembered what Sonic said about a weird red mist flying around the castle.

“Mother before Trails went back to sleep did he happen to mention having sleeping problems of any sort before going to bed?” Kaze hoped that whatever was plaguing his sons wasn’t just sleepless anxiety.

“Actually Kaze now that you mention it, before this whole ordeal started, Trails had mentioned having dreams that turned to nightmares that felt like he was being drained of his energy about two months ago, but he mentioned that they stopped about a week later for some reason.  Why do you ask?” Athena began to worry that something was invading his grandchildren’s dreams.  Why couldn’t her family have a peaceful life was what the former queen wondered that moment.

“Actually mother, Shadow and Sonic mentioned having bad dreams that has caused them to fear sleeping at night.  And before dinner, Sonic mention seeing a red mist with dragon-like eyes flying around the castle but disappearing at the light of dawn.  I had hoped that it was merely nightmares, but after hearing you say Trails had them too,” Kaze now knew that he had to find a way to contact Holly and inform her of what happened.

“Kaze I know you wish to contact Holly but save that for morning.  I’m sure the girl has more than she can handle right now.  For now, let’s get a good night’s sleep and pray that tomorrow will be better.  Also, I need to talk to both you and Darren in the morning about that contraption Trails built.  If Trails has indeed built something like that and has no knowledge of both the joy and terror he created than I fear we’re in for more trouble in the days to come.” Athena felt Kaze embrace her before giving her a reassuring smile.

“Mother I’m sure Trails didn’t intend for that to happen.  His mind while still a mystery to the rest of us, doesn’t work that way.  I’m sure Trails just wanted to make getting to a teleporter easier for us, since the closest one in the next town.”

“Kaze I know, but I don’t want to lose Trails any more than you wish to lose Shadow, Sonic and Silver.  But we’ll talk in the morning right now all I wish is to sleep and perhaps dream sweet dreams, good night Kaze” Athena then left her son and made for her chambers to rest her frazzled mind.  Once Athena was in her room, Kaze took a deep breath and said a silent prayer that his family would find peace within their slumber tonight and went into his chambers for the night.

As Kaze was about to ready himself for bed, the image of his wife in the gleaming moonlight, brought back the fire from before ten-fold.  The sight of his wife made Kaze forget the troubles of the day for a few moments.  Right now, all Kaze wanted was his wife.  He wanted his wonderful wife, whom he made a promise to.  And Kaze was a man of his word.

So as Kaze indulged his wife, a silver mink floated high above the castle upon a cloud, smiling with sheer joy.

“So, it appears that Morgana’s sprites are beginning to slip up if they are being seen by mortals.  Well can’t say I didn’t see that coming.  But I believe now is the time to give sweet dreams to the residence of the castle.  Morgana has terrorized enough people tonight and after today, this family deserves some wonderful dreams.” The silver mink then began to chant an ancient spell resulting in pure snow-white butterflies surrounding her.

“Now my little dream sprites, shine your lights upon the residents of the castle.  Bid them good dreams of a bright future and give them peace.  For tonight your powers are needed now more than ever.” And with a wave of her hand the numerous butterflies began surrounding the castle in a pure glow, thus casting a spell of peace upon the minds of all who reside.  For come the morn, a surprise will be waiting for the family, one expected and one a surprise.
